I’m Taylor, the woman behind Iron Mother Lactation. I’m a wife, mother, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and Registered Nurse. I do this work because I believe mothers deserve calm, honest support during one of the most pivotal seasons of life — and that motherhood should be held in reverence.
I didn’t come to lactation work because I wanted to fix babies or optimize feeding schedules. I came because I saw how often mothers were overwhelmed, second-guessed, and pulled away from their own instincts. Too much noise. Too many rules. Not enough listening.
I believe our bodies are designed to feed our babies when given honest and true support. During our time together, we’ll look at feeding as a whole picture — your baby, your body, and your environment — and make adjustments that feel realistic, supportive, and sustainable.
Iron Mother was built on the belief that strength and softness can exist together. That motherhood doesn’t need to be rushed, fixed, or over-managed to be good. And that when a mother is supported well, everything else begins to settle.
Before becoming a wife, mother, and lactation consultant, I worked as a Registered Nurse in high-risk labor and delivery hospital settings. I am certified as RNC-OB (obstetrics care) and C-EFM (electronic fetal monitoring), with professional experience spanning antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care.
I also hold a certificate in craniosacral therapy (CST) and have served in many roles over the years, including as a travel RN prior to the birth of my first son. Through my professional and personal experiences with birth and breastfeeding, I was drawn to biologically aligned mothering, lactation care, and infant bodywork.
This background allows me to blend clinical knowledge with deep respect for physiology, intuition, and the mother–baby relationship.
I’m honored to walk alongside families in these early days, offering steady guidance, reassurance, and care that feels grounded, respectful, and homely.
You don’t need to do this perfectly. You just need support that sees you fully.
Warm regards,
Taylor
